(October 26, 1967) - A portrait of Conshohocken’s First Burgess, John Wood, was accepted by Conshohocken Borough Council president, Dominic A. Ruggiero (seated), from the Conshohocken Historical Society. At the presentation ceremony were from left, the Rev. Leon F. Krajewski, paster of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church; Ruggiero, William F. Collins, representing the historical society; the Rev. Marshall W. Lee (behind Collins) of St. Paul's Baptist Church; James Wood, a descendant of Burgess John Wood, who served the borough in 1850, and Howard Read, also a descendant of John Wood who spoke about his ancestor.
